Gavin Crosby of Enquire will be sharing information about some of the issues facing young people and their families around the transition from school which Enquire has encountered through calls to its national helpline. He will be illustrating this using anonymous case studies which touch on questions such as whether or not to stay on at school and the duties of education authorities, 12 months and 6 months in advance of the leaving date. The session is aimed principally at parents/carers, teachers and support agency professionals rather than at young people, but he is preparing a number of topics/approaches in order to meet the needs of the audience whatever its composition.
